Our story

Recreative Co. all started with one crazy idea in 2022: to make cement pots.

After lockdown life, we craved a better work-life balance – something to pull us away from our computer screens and into creating with our hands.

That’s how Recreative began. It became our our space to reimagine life through every item we hand make.

But then life happened, and we took a break. But the idea never left us.

Towards the end of 2025, we finally found the space we needed to bring Recreative Co. back to life.

Today, we still craft cement products, but we’ve added more to the Recreative Co. range, like hand poured 100% candles.

Every product is made slowly. By hand. With intention.

It started with a need to slow down

Recreative began because we needed to step away from our screens and make something real again. Working with our hands changed everything.

Raw materials, honest craft

We work with simple, beautiful materials – cement, soy wax and thoughtfully chosen scent blends. Nothing rushed. Nothing mass-produced.

Poured and shaped by us

Every cement product is cast by hand. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches. It’s just the two of us in our studio, making each piece one at a time.

Time is part of the process

Cement needs at least seven days to cure properly. Our candles rest for a minimum of two weeks before they’re ready to burn. We’ve learnt that good things can’t be hurried.

No two are the same

Because everything is made by hand, subtle variations in colour, texture and finish are part of what make each piece uniquely yours.

Made for real lifer

Whether it’s a pot holding new growth or a candle lit at the end of a long day, our pieces are created to become part of your everyday rituals.
